Spring Collections Preview :: Go Gently Baby

Store Designer Pick :: Coco & Bee

I love supporting local designers in our boutique and especially love the handmade look and unique style.  Stacy of Coco & Bee creates customized items such as this adorable personalized towel that comes in pink and blue.  It has that not so perfect handmade almost anthropologie-ish look.  It makes a wonderful gift, don't you think?  My daughter gave one to her friend for her Birthday and she absolutely loved it.

Cooling off with Shaved Ice

I like to go out and try new places and compare.  Today, I stopped by 10th Avenue's In My Kitchen, and had to try their shaved ice since I've heard so many good things about it.  It is all that is hyped up to be.  We got the lemon lime as  pictured but the mango is onolicious.  It is made from real mango puree and the ice is fine and soft.  The next place I want to try is Shigalicious near Kinau and Ward.  We got to try Matsumoto's last Labor Day Weekend and theirs is great too, and you can't go wrong with Waiola Shave Ice, but my favorite has got to be In My Kitchen!

Bon Dancing at the Okinawan Festival

Last night my friend and I went to the Annual Okinawan Festival at Kapiolani Park.  I usually go in the day time when there's more food, shaved ice, games and rides for the kids.  This year I decided to go at night to watch the Bon Dance.  It was so cute to see the little girls dressed in their little kimonos.  We got to eat the Andadog (like a corn dog with andagi batter), the Okinawan Soba, and of course, Andagi, which were all good.  The Festival is still on today from 9 - 5.

Baby Couture Magazine Featuring Kourtney Kardashian

Featured in the new Baby Couture Magazine , is Kourtney Kardashian (Love her!), and her adorable son Mason.  Kourtney loves dressing him in preppy chic clothes, including brands like Petit Bateau, Kicky Pants (For PJ's), and Ralph Lauren.  Boys can be fun to shop for too! I love looking at Baby Fashion Magazines, one of my favorite places to go and relax with some cute mags is at Borders in Ward Center.

Store Designer Picks :: Mi Cielo

Every week, I like to feature a top seller and favorite pick from our store.  One of our top sellers are these simply adorable tees + onesies by local designer, Kayo Master of Mi Cielo.  She creates the cutest designs, and sews each applique by hand.  My Favorite ~ the Anpan Man Tee.  I want to see if Kayo can  make a Monchhichi applique tee - Wouldn't that be Kawaii?  If I could get one in my size, it would have to be the Aloha Bunny!

Collages :: My Inspiration

I thought it would be fun to share with you my very first collage that I made with my daughter.  This one is by far my favorite, and it inspires me everyday.  My daughter loves the quiet + quality time making collages, and she gets to pick and cut out her favorite pictures.  It's so much fun!
